Designing Rider-Owned Access Grants
Shop access should be explicit, revocable, and consented to by the rider.
The constraint
Shops and coaches are useful only if the rider trusts the boundary. Phone or email can help find a rider. They should not become authorization.
The design
Access grants should be explicit and revocable. A shop can invite, propose, or request access, but the rider decides when data becomes visible.
The claim flow should use single-use expiring tokens and an existing-user acceptance gate. Consent becomes a record, not a vibe.
The tradeoff
This delays shop workflow. That is intentional. The rider loop has to be useful before shop workflow deserves more surface area.
